COLLINSVILLE [mdash] William "Bill" Thomas Pemberton, 70, formerly of McLeansboro, IL, was born on October 12, 1946 and passed away on December 24, 2016 in Collinsville, IL. He graduated from McLeansboro Township High School in 1964. Bill enlisted in the Navy and reported for duty on January 13, 1966. He served in the Vietnam war as a Medic. He was honorably discharged in May 1970. After his return to the U.S., he met and married the love of his life, Judith Rose (Hawn) on August 8, 1970 in Sioux Falls, SD. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1977. He retired from St. Luke's in 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents, Russell and Lula (Elder) Pemberton; and two brothers, Roland and John. He is survived by sisters Phyllis Greer of Carbondale, IL., Audrey Warrick of New Harmony, IN, and Mary Braun of Evansville, IN; his devoted daughter, Jill (Richard) Korte of Collinsville, IL.; granddaughter Ashley (Justin) Parnell; grandson, Adam (Shaylee) Arras; great grandsons Wesley and Maxton; stepson Steven Lund of New York, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. A private ceremony will be held in Sioux Falls, SD in the Spring. Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
